About Us

The group started in January 2013 with ten founder members. Some of us were new or 'returners' to sewing, some of us had dabbled a bit with patchwork and quilting whilst others had some experience, and some of us also did (and still do) regularly other 'crafty' activities that include gold work, tapestry, lace making, embroidery and knitting (and, it's likely we've all had a go at a lot more related crafts at some time or other!). The idea is that we share our experiences to support and learn from each other. Decision about the group, how it is run and what it does are made by the group as a whole, not a formal committee.

The group has grown steadily since January 2013 and is thriving. All ages and abilities are welcome and this is reflected in the current membership. A waiting may be in place but do get in touch if you're interested in joining us - you may not have to wait that long.
